During the Fall of 2004, I designed and scratch built a 24 foot flat car in On3 (1:48) scale from basswood, brass and a few Grandt Line detail parts.

I wanted to build a car as per D&RGW construction practices but figured that a 28 foot car (prototypical length) would be too long for my module(s) and so I built it a little shorter at 24 feet.
